This is a global research-driven pharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, manufactures and markets a broad range of human and animal health products directly and through its joint ventures, and provides pharmaceutical benefit services through one of it's subsidiary companies. Client Opportunity

The successful data load operations accomplished:
- Collecting and planning the data at several levels of granularity across various divisions, departments and even countries.
- Utilization of the planning data gathered from business users resulted in real time numbers. This contributed to more accurate measurement of critical parameters.
- Utilizing the planning data for cash flow and funds flow forecasting.
- Using the budgeted sales figures of the products manufactured by the company to help in the planning of production levels, storage levels and inventory management.
- Data collected over the web was published and fed into the data warehouse department for business intelligence reporting and OLAP (online analytical processing) purposes.
Client Result
There are several advantages to the new solution. Duplication of data across various departments was eliminated at the global level. This was facilitated by direct feeding of exchange rates (for different currencies and conversions) into the Adaytum Model. This new planning and budgeting model automated the collection, aggregation and consolidation of data leading to a better usage of the clients' human resources and their time.
